International animation day - 28th Oct

International Animation Day
28th Oct, 2016

Hi there, we usually post in Spanish, but this an international day and we want to wish an animated happy day to all our friends around the world, therefore we TRY to write in English this time :)

A small history class about today

This day was proclaim by the Association Internationale du Film d'Animation (ASIFA) to celebrate the art of animation commemorating the firts public appearance of   Charles-Émile Reynaud at the Grevin Museum in Paris, France back in 1892. Reynaud's public performance entered the history of optical entertainments as shortly predating the camera-made movies. Reynaud used the praxinoscope to project his animations, a mechanism invented by him on 1877.

You can check the following YouTube video in which the work of Reynaud is explained, please ignore the last 3 minutes of nothing on the video, it seems that the autor had a small problem with the render, however, it´s a pretty nice history class!

Pretty awsome right?

Well, Today I wanna show you our partnerts favourite animated movies and also some Inku´s animations. You might desagree with some of our suggestions or think we left one master piece out so feel free to express yourself leaving a comment  or a link if you want to enrich everybody´s animated knowledge.

SPIRITED AWAY (2001) the story of Chihiro, a 10 year old girl who goes on a trip with her parents and gets into a world of gods and spirits where humans chaged into beasts.  This a must watch, a movie directed by Hayao Miyazaki. This movie won an Academy award (OSCAR). If you like it, you might consider wathing more Miyazaki´s movies; his entire work is mind blowing.

LES TRIPLETTES DE BELLEVILLE (2003)
This a very beautiful movie, combines 3d and 2d animation, has a wonderful photographic work. The movie has songs an pantomine , much more than dialogues to tell the story of
Madame Souza's and her pooch Bruno teaming up with the Belleville Sisters to rescue Souza's grandson, a tour de france cyclist, was kinnaped by the French mafia. directed by Sylvain Chomet

Inku´s first steps on animation

Commemorating this important day, we went on Facebook and made a post with one of our first animations. 'Cómo llegar a la luna' and 'El poste'. Both were make by Javier Lizarazo, our thinking partner.
